Reduce the stress of change

This is the time of year when we turn over that new leaf and commit (at least for the moment!) to changing our lives. I love the new year because it has so much promise and hope. It also seems to encourage us to focus on what we want to create for our lives. I believe that where you have hope and focus, you can truly make amazing changes. The challenge, I find, is that change is uncomfortable. Change is messy and often unpredictable. And it can feel in the moment that it will ALWAYS feel uncomfortable to be in this new place.

However, if you can come to accept and even embrace the process of change, anything is possible! Whoever masters the process of change truly can make astonishing things happen! Below is a link to an article in Health Magazine entitled "Dealing With Change."  Health is one of my favorite magazines, and this article is an example of a quick read with several excellent suggestions. I especially like their suggestion for a "bandaid for the soul," referring to resources to help you relax, laugh, or other tension relievers.
